出生於臺灣臺北,國立臺北藝術大學新媒體藝術學士,目前於英國皇家藝術學院攻讀實驗動畫碩士。從事動畫與插畫自由工作九年,遊戲美術與動畫設計三年。動畫影像作品經常以向內探討個人經驗與女性議題為出發點。並常以手繪質感為基調,透過影像訴說生命的故事。
動畫短片作品《鳥》入圍美國紐瓦克國際影展。影像作品《無常之海》獲得印度國際影展最佳多媒體獎。動畫作品《母親》獲得K.T.科藝獎動畫組優選獎、4C數位科技創作競賽動畫組最佳視覺效果獎,並入圍國內外17座影展,於各國影展展出。入圍影展包括美國世界動畫影展、英國Animex 國際動畫與遊戲展、羅馬尼亞Anim’est國際動畫節、印度Aakruti國際動畫節 、科索沃Anibar 動畫節與希臘雅典動畫節等。
Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Aco Chang earned an BFA in New Media Art at the Taipei National University of the Arts in Taipei. Aco recently is doing MA. Experimental Animation at Royal College of Art, UK. She has worked as a freelance artist in animation and illustration for 9 years, and she has also worked as a concept and cinematic artist in game industry for 3 years.
She usually creates animation and visual art works by exploring personal experience and female issues, and her animation works often based on hand-made visual textures. Through visual art, she tells story about life.
Her animation short film 'Bird' has been selected as an official selection film for the Newark International Film Festival. Her experimental short film’The Impermanent Sea’won the Best Multimedia Film Award at Global India International Film Festival in India in 2019. Her animation short film 'Mother' won the quality award. in K. T. Creativity Award and the best visual effects award in 4C Digital Content Awards. The film has been officially selected for 17 film festivals, and screened in film festivals in USA, UK, Romania, India, France, and Greece. Including the World Animation Celebration Short Film Festival in the USA, the Animex International Festival of Animation and Computer Games in the UK, Anim’est International Animation Film Festival in Romania, the Aakruti International Film Festival in India, the Anibar Animation Festival in Kosova, and the Athens ANIMFEST, in Greece, etc.
